Privacy

When you tap the heart on a business, when you add stops to your itinerary, when you set your preferences — all of that lives in your phone’s browser storage. We never see it. We can’t read it. If you delete the app from your home screen, it’s gone with no copy anywhere.

If you allow location access, the app uses it to:

• Sort businesses by walking distance in Walk-in mode
• Know if you’re inside Napa Valley so we can send relevant notifications

We don’t track where you’ve been. We don’t store location history. We check coarsely whether your last-known location is inside the Napa Valley area. That’s it.

If you choose “Notifications when I’m in Napa Valley” at install, three pieces of anonymous data go to our server:

• An opaque push token issued by Apple or Google. It identifies a phone for delivery, not you.
• Your saved businesses (if you opt into saved-business notifications) — to send “Happy hour at a place you love starts in 10 minutes.”
• Your coarse location while in the Napa Valley area — so we don’t send a notification when you’re not here.

No name. No email. No phone number. No browsing history. No IP-linked profile.

When you leave Napa Valley, your push token goes dormant. After 24 hours away, our server purges it. If you come back, it re-registers automatically. We don’t notify you when you’re not here.

If you chose Instagram-only at install, we never registered a push token. Zero server-side data about you, ever.

• We never sell data. We don’t have data to sell.
• We never share your information with the businesses listed in the app.
• We never email you. We don’t have your email.
• We never use third-party tracking pixels or analytics scripts.
• We never serve ads.

The only emails our system sends are to Chamber admins for password resets. Visitors never receive an email from us.

Anonymous push tokens live on Vercel Postgres in the US. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. The dataset has no personal identifiers.
